1.Photo Scavenger Hunt. As a group you will need to find and take pictures of the following:
a. A beginning of the day group picture.
b. Your class with a globe.
c. Your class with a USS South Dakota volunteer.
d. Your class in front of the USS South Dakota sign.
e. A funny picture.
f. Two (2) pictures of something inspirational.
g. Information relating to population growth.
h. Information relating to climate change.
i. Information relating to maps.
j. Something patriotic.
k. End of the day, we’re tired and want to go home group picture.
Rules for photo scavenger hunt:
Be respectful. This means of your classmates and hosts at the different locations we visit.
Picture approval. If you take a picture of a classmate they must approve it’s use on the website. Don’t take a picture of someone that you wouldn’t want them to take of you.
You cannot take more than 5 pictures at one location.
This is a group effort. Everyone must participate and no one person should dominate.
All pictures must have captions.
2.Reflections. Upon leaving EROS and the USS South Dakota you will write a reflection on what you have seen/done/thought about.
a. Guidelines/Suggestions:
i. What did you like/not like? ii. What questions do you have? iii. What do you wish they would have talked more about? iv. Why do you think people should visit this place? v. What do you think the people that work here do? vi. What subjects would you have to study in school to work here?
b. Requirements:
i. Serious entries. Thoughtful. ii. Must use time given to write reflections. iii. Length: at least 7 sentences. iv. Do not have to use the guideline questions.
3.Other Field Trip Assignments
